SuperSize Change In Your Diet

After watching Supersize me for the 3rd time in my life, i still get grossed out about how disgusting and unnatural fast food really is..The fact of the matter is that eating fast food period is very harmful for your body because there are chances of obtaining a disease, ecoli, food poisoning, or bacteria..I understand that fast food is a temptation and tastes delicious but that's no reason to manipulate your mind into thinking it's safe to compose..Being obese reducing your lifespan by 15-17 years, so you definitly must not appreciate your life if fast food is part of your diet..To my belief, i think obesity is based on genetics for the simple fact that we can't control our body is made cause we are all made different..Some of us have a huge appetite but a fast metaboism so they dont gain weight as much but the ones with a big appetite and eat unhealthy every minute of the day, is the reason the majority of the country is obese..The movie Supersize me can really give you a reality check on how much damage is being done to the body with just a single meal of Mcdonalds..But I mean sometimes a Mcdonalds in some states is the only thing thing around so some people dont have a choice..but that still doesnt give you the right to kill yourself everyday eating that mouthwatering burger..Yes it's understandable that the healthy foods and fruits are kind of expensive compared to the junk food but truth be told, the junk food companies know their food is harmful and bad for our health but as long as your spending every dollar in your wallet on them then they can care less about how your feeling or if your on an unhealthy diet..For example, I went the same kind of obstacle..Over a year ago, i gained almost 30 pounds in a couple months because I just had an obcession with eating and at the moment I wasn't excercising like I regularly used to do..I used to always be active and all of a sudden I just lost interest in everything, but I guess it was because of a personal situation i was going through at the time..But since I started my college life, I decided to get my career on the road and it felt good to be learning for me and benefiting from it..Then i started getting back into the habit of excercising regularly and I also changed my diet from eating fast food like two times a week to eating it about once every two months..Also another main factor that contributed to my weight loss was cutting out meat..As of this moment I eat strictly and mostly vegetables and fruits..Now I weigh 130lbs from being 165lbs a year ago..I'm very proud of my progress and accomplishment..So being healthy and losing weight is based on dtermination and the choices you make..You are the only one that can change your habits and live a better, happier life..You choose to eat fast food instead of getting a salad from a local store or supermarket or a snickers bar instead of a fruit..Everything is revolved arounf the choices you make..The movie Supersize Me is a perfect example on what can happen to you if you continue the habits your currently initiating..

Revision Plan
Since finding out that I didn’t do too well on my 1st draft..I’ve decided to start the whole process from scratch because I really didn’t cover the criteria needed for my topic. The topic I am writing my research paper on is Kosher Food. This time I will put 10 times more of an effort into my paper than I did when I wrote my rough draft. Now after being explained to by my professor, I have a better understanding of the concept I have to achieve. But the truth is that after finding out my downfall, it makes me want to write that much of a better paper than the last one. And from what my professor told me, after I finish this course, I will be that much of a better writer and an expert at performing and presenting a research paper correctly. I’m looking at doing this paper from a different point of view and aiming for an “A” plus this time. The initiative this time is to focus on legal regulations on Kosher products. Research is a hobby o f mine so locating every possible fact of importance should not be too much of a problem. I’m sure I will be very pleased with the outcome after this research paper is finished and through. Since receiving the return of my 1st draft, I have got a head start on my work for this topic. No time will be spared accomplishing my paper because out of all my classes this is the most important so my mind will be that much more focused. Attending the writing center will play a huge role in perform and finalize the paper properly. Every piece of leisure time obtained in my presence will strictly be used on research and practice on documenting important pieces of information and inserting them into an essay format. I’m very anxious and nervous at the same time knowing I want to get the paper done but along with that is obtaining a good grade also. So yes it will be a challenge but my dad always told me “never give up” and that’s the line I will stand by for the rest of my life regardless of the situation. Research is the first key aspect on writing this paper because without that you will not have any reference. Secondly is attending the writing center as much as possible so I can perfect the objectives of writing a research paper and improve my writing skills all together. Lastly is gathering all the important information and incorporating them into an essay format. I know this is will one of many research papers I will be writing in my college career but I guarantee to get stronger and more thoughtful about what I write as my state of mind broadens at a wide capacity. Anyway this is my revision plan for my paper, wish me luck….

Why is it such an issue to eat properly and healthy? Is it the addiction and delicious taste that processed food gives making you unaware of the harm being done? Well Healthy eating comes with a little commitment and effort on your part. Yes it’s expensive to buy organic products from your local store or supermarket, But that’s where home cooked foods comes in. Remember all it takes is just a little research, effort, and creativity on your part to look and feel at your best. Push that 99 cent burger to the side and eat some convenient healthy home made meals that will satisfy your hunger instead of killing yourself with those three burgers that look so mouthwatering. Just give your mind to think and be creative plus creating your own dish is very innovative.
Why is Organic food more expensive than Junk food? Well we don’t really think about what we are paying for when we pay taxes but the truth of the matter is that we pay for extra money for that junk food you love through our taxes. No one realizes it but truthfully organic is worth the extra pay because of the simple fact that it’s completely natural, no pesticides, chemicals, or insecticides. I also understand that you are on a budget and organic food might be a bit to expensive for you. Some things to consider then trying to save currency and eat healthy deleting those processed foods are coupons. Whenever you get your hands on a supermarket menu or coupon book, try to search for healthy foods at a lower price which can save you a lot of money on your next visit to the store. Another tip is to never go shopping on an empty stomach because it gives you the tendency to buy more and spend money on unhealthy products loaded with calories. Also you might want to make a list of necessary foods that will be beneficial to your health so you can eliminate unneeded products. So basically just be aware of what you are buying and try to take advantage of the coupons on higher priced products. Go into the supermarket with a feel good attitude boosting your confidence as an escape from temptation toward addicting “scam” foods.
Homemade foods can help you save money also. Since it seems that protein products are the ones bankrupting us, Try deleting one meat meal from your diet a week. Some good substitutes for a day your not eating meat are Stir fry, Steamed vegetables, Potatoes, etc. Try to stay away from processed food as much as you can because it will benefit you in the long run. Also whenever you leave your house on a drive or so, pack a snack and bring it with you just in case you get the munchies. Packing a snack also saves you money and makes you think twice about buying a bag of chips or frequently approaching a drive-thru. Here’s a variety of healthy snacks to take into perspective when leaving your residence, trail mix, box of raisins, grapes, mixed fruit, seeds, nuts, etc. Maybe you might want to consider buying frozen instead of fresh fruit or vegetables because the essential nutrients and taste are held with for a longer period of time, Just store it in a freezer and use as a side alternative with any meal. Instead of eating a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast, have some oatmeal with raisins Which is rich in fiber to go along with your healthy diet. It’s never too late to change your eating habits or substitute foods you like for a healthier selection.
Eating smart is not only beneficial for your health, It helps your body reserve more energy and be more alert at crucial times. Unlike a cheese burger, fries and a soda, your body is able to think more creatively and critically supplying stamina for longer periods of time. Processed and fast food when eaten tends to slow down the body so your unable function correctly, leaving you feeling tired and drouzy almost all the time which is absolutely unhealthy on a daily basis. I suggest following a regime that fits you and your likes including fruits, vegetables and a healthy diet excluding the wide variety of “Scam” foods. Creating a daily food regime also brings the creativity out of you separating necessary from unnecessary foods becoming a content individual uncontrolled and free of addiction from processed food companies. Then last but not least add a bit of exercise to your weekly routine such as biking, walking, jogging, jump rope, etc. Once that’s all included, your now a complete, content, confident, and healthy person who will definitely be proud of the progress he or her made 100% guarantee

Perspective Of Food Inc.

First of all i would like to say that I'm totally disgusted with the food administration and the way products are processed. Its a little scary knowing the harm and damage processed foods do the human body after each intake. This is just another problem added on to the pile of issues this country has already. farmers know the truth but can't tell anyone because of the administration policy and I feel like this country revolves around money instead of saving lives. People now and days are so selfish that they will sell you out for that extra dollar and its absurd i think. But there's rarely anyone can do to change food companies minds unless we work together and put up a protest of some sort to get a message out. most of my life i ate fairly well but there's times i admit to eating fast food because it was the only outlet to resource to. Even if you try to buy something healthy like a salad from Mcdonalds or Burger King, that salad is not any healthier. It just balances out with the rest of the food there. But as of this past year I've been trying to revert to organic and more healthier products but the cost is really expensive, something i don't understand as for fast food where you can get a burger for 99 cents. I thought the movie super size made realize the health concerns food contains but this movie definitely made an impact. The animals are not fed properly leaving room for sickness and diseases inside the animal then transfer into our bodies which is completely unacceptable and i disagree with they're production 100%. Although the food is tasty, people don't know what damage it's doing to them, making this more of a reason for the health department to step up and make changes. And even tho I'm in shape and workout regularly, it doesn't mean I have to run to mcdonalds and get a burger thinking i won't gain weight or get sick. There are many precautions that we don't take and are not aware of because nothing is said or advertised. But like our president Obama said "It's time for a change", We need to start committing to healthy food and eating properly so our lives are not effected in a dramatic way. Start now and never look back at that burger or processed food. Redirect yourself to another option like a fruit or a homemade salad or steamed vegetables. Rejuvenate your life and live happily with pride and ambition.
